David is the Vice President-Risk Analysis, responsible for advising the firm's clients in developing the appropriate solution programs. One of the principal designers of SMC Analysis, David directs the recommendation of strategies to minimize enterprise risk, including the identification of the most suitable insurers that meet the clients risk profile. David joined SM in 2002 after having worked for Marsh, Inc. where he had been responsible for servicing of Fortune 500 clients in power, high-tech and commercial real estate industries.
With the proficiency built upon nearly 20 years experience in the financial services and insurance industry, David has advised a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to midsized privately held companies to balance business opportunities with financial, legal and operational risks.
David helps design sound strategies for handling the firm's clients risk exposures by analyzing historical experience and trends and evaluating potential future losses. He provides solutions to risk based on insurance and non-insurance components and designs to lower and reduce exposures.
David has a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics from the California State University at Sacramento. He is a candidate for the Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation.
David and his wife Mary have two daughters and reside in Concord, California. They are active members in their community and church.
